BAAFS Successfully Hosts "2025 International Symposium on Plant-Microbe Interactions"

Beijing, October 20–23, 2025 – The "2025 International Symposium on Plant-Microbe Interactions" was grandly convened in Beijing, co-hosted by the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences (BAAFS) and the Microbial Biotechnology Branch of the Chinese Association of Agricultural Biotechnology Societies. The event was organized by BAAFS’s Biotechnology Research Institute and the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, with co-organization from Oxford University, China Agricultural University, Beijing Forestry University, the Institute of Plant Protection of CAAS, the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers of CAAS, the Chinese Society for Plant Pathology, Longdong University, Agriculture Communications, and other institutions.

Opening Ceremony Researcher Guo Xiaojun, Vice President of BAAFS, and Researcher Ye Jian, Chairman of the Microbial Biotechnology Branch (Institute of Microbiology, CAS), delivered opening addresses on behalf of the hosts. The ceremony was chaired by Researcher Wang Xuming, Director of BAAFS’s Biotechnology Research Institute.

Conference Overview The four-day symposium gathered over 200 participants from 98 institutions across nine countries—China, the United States, UK, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Thailand, and Australia. The program featured:
